Tip #183 - How to Change the Display Theme

If you recently got your SmartAdvocate upgrade, it is possible that your screens may look a little different, i.e., the graphical user interface (GUI) may have changed.

As part of the November 2021 rollout, we have implemented several new Display Themes which, we believe, give SmartAdvocate the more modern look it deserves. The addition of the new themes also gives you, the user, more choices with respect to how you want your desktop to look.

We are aware, however, that some of you love and would like to keep the old traditional look of SmartAdvocate. So, don’t worry, the previous themes are still available. You can easily change back to the system default or choose any of the additional new themes that are now available.

To change the Display Theme

  • Click your name in the top right corner of the screen in SmartAdvocate where it says “Welcome [your name]”

  • Click User Preferences

  • Go to the “Styles” section of the User Preferences Page (bottom left section of the page) and click the drop-down for “Display theme”

  • Select <Default> (the “traditional” display theme for SmartAdvocate)

  • Click the “Save” button

 
Refresh the page or log out, and then log back into SmartAdvocate for the change to become effective.
