Tip #238 - Assigning Tasks to Multiple People

In previous versions of SmartAdvocate (Prior to the 2023 release), there was no option to assign a task to multiple people. The “cc” option was always available, meaning that others could be copied on the assignment, but this only “notified” those copied that the assignment was created. We have now expanded the “cc” option which, in effect, “assigns” the task to those copied as well. Since there is still only one person in the “Assigned To” field, there should be no confusion as who is actually assigned to do the task.

“Assigning” a task to multiple people means that those “cc’d” on the task is now searchable and the cc column is now added to the Task Dashboard.
