Tip #205 - How To Set Certain Fields To Be Hidden Or Visible By Default
There are a few select fields on some pages in SmartAdvocate that you can choose to have hidden or visible by default. Currently, the options are only available on the Lien Tracking and Disbursements (Case Costs) Pages, with one on the Insurance Page, two on the Medical Providers Page and one on the Negotiation Page. Whether to have the specified fields visible or hidden by default is set in Picklist Maintenance. The specific fields that are configurable include:
Page Name and Field Name
Disbursements: Invoice Date, Invoice #, Due Date, Check Mailed Date, General Ledger #, Is Payee a Lienor?, Payee [From QuickBooks], Expense Account and Bank Account
Insurance: UM/SUM Policy Limit
Lien Tracking: Recovery Agent, Recovery Contact, Unconfirmed Gross Amount, Confirmed Gross Amount, Current Payoff Amount and Date of Current Payoff Amount
Medical Providers: LOP, Last Record Update
Negotiation : Med Pay
To make any of the specified fields visible or not, go to Admin > Picklist Maintenance > Hidden Edit Form Fields. Then, change the “Field Visible” option to Yes or No. If your firm does not make entries in the fields for Recovery Agent, Recovery Contact, Unconfirmed Gross Amount, etc. on the Lien Tracking Page, for example, then you can configure your system so that those fields are not displayed.
