Tip #204 - How to Send eFax from SmartAdvocate
With the proper setup, you can send an eFax directly from SmartAdvocate. Typically, this function is used to fax documents directly from the Documents Page in the case.
First, you must have an existing fax domain or an online fax service configured, typically through a subscription service (such as RingCentral Fax). Most services will allow you to send faxes via an encrypted TLS connection.
In SmartAdvocate, you will need to set the appropriate System Parameters to configure the Email Settings for the Fax Server. Here you will need to set the value for your fax domain. The fax domain will typically be in the following format: hellofax.com . See example in screenshot below.

Once the System Parameter has been configured, you can then use the email function to fax documents from a case in SmartAdvocate.
Follow These Steps:
From a case, open the email dialog box (as if sending an email)
In the “To” field (where you would normally put an email address) put the fax number with the @[faxdomain.com]. E.g., 12125551212@myfaxdomain.com.

3. Use one of the attach functions in the email dialog box to select the document(s) you want to fax (i.e., “Select From Case Documents” or “Browse”)

4. Click the “Send” button when ready to send the fax
