How do I reassign the cases/tasks of someone who has left the firm?

Replacing a former staff member with a current member is easy to do with SmartAdvocate! Simply run a Case Browse report, setting the filter of Staff to search for that individual’s name to see a full report of all cases assigned to that person.

Once you’ve run the report, you can use the checkboxes on the left of the report to select specific cases to reassign, or using the checkbox in the header of that column you can select all cases belonging to that staff member.

Once you have selected the cases you want to reassign, select the Mass Update button and select “Reassign Staff” option.

Once selected, you will be prompted to select the staff member you are replacing them with and will see a series of checkboxes that allow you to reassign tasks, appointments, and records requests.
