Why my Settlement dialog is not calculating Liens correctly?
When settlement dial calculates Liens it takes all the liens in this case for selected plaintiff. It also subtracts all the Lien amounts from all settlements that are already entered in the case.
For an individual lien the calculation is performed as follows:
If there is a “Date Paid” for the record in the lienor table (the outer “Lien Tracking” table), the lien is considered paid in full and adds $0 to the total.
If there is no “Date Paid,” but there is a “Negotiated/Final Lien Amount,” then it adds that amount to the total.
If there is neither a “Date Paid” nor a “Negotiated/Final Lien Amount,” then it considers the records in the individual lien table (the inner “Lien History” table) – if there is a “Confirmed Amount” for an individual lien, it adds that amount to the total; otherwise it adds the “Unconfirmed Amount.”
