Tip #246 - How to Set Up An Advertisement Campaign To Track Your Firm’s ROI

You can set up your source of paid advertising to track the firm’s amount spent on those campaigns, the number of leads generated from those sources and ultimately the settlement amounts and firm fees generated, including averages.

First, you must create the Paid Advertisement Source.

Here’s How:

Select the “Contacts” tab on the top SmartAdvocate tool bar, then choose “Add Contact” from the dropdown.

Create a new contact. The Contact must be “ORGANIZATION” and the Contact Type must be “Advertise.”

Next, set up the Advertisement Campaign itself – designate the amount spent and duration of the campaign. To do so, go to the “Admin” tab and select “Advertisement Campaign.”

Click the “Add Advertisement Campaign” button in the top left corner of the screen and complete the items on the resulting page. You will need to choose the campaign (name of the organization created above), the amount spent and the duration (Start Date and End Date).

Whenever a new intake is created in Intake Wizard, you will select from among the paid advertisement sources as appropriate.[1]

SmartAdvocate will track the source of the lead and display your ROI on several standard Dashboards and Reports available in the system.
Here are a few examples of some of the Financial Dashboards available which display Advertisement Campaigns including cost per lead, average fees recovered, etc.
