Tip #84 - Use The Staff Activity Report To Keep Track Of And Monitor Staff Productivity

The Staff Activity Report shows staff activity over a designated period. The Staff Activity Report doesnotgive a report of all activities in SmartAdvocate, but measures specific types of activities such as cases worked on, cases visited, documents generated, etc. The report is accessed by going to Reports > Staff Management Reports > Staff Activity Report.

By default, upon accessing the report, it will display activity over the past 24 hours preceding the time the report is run. The period can be adjusted as appropriate by changing the “From” and “To” dates. (See item #1 on the screen shot below).
 
The report can be generated for all staff or for selected staff member(s) and can include staff members where there is zero activity. (See item #2).
 
The Activity Index shown in the right column is simply a total of all activities for the individual staff member. (See item #3).
 
The ‘Total’ row is simply a total of activities for all staff members for items in that column and the ‘Average’ is simply the arithmetic mean (i.e., the total of all the items in a specific column divided by the number of items). (See item #4).
 
The staff member’s name (displayed in the report) hyperlinks to the specific cases and activities included in the reports for that staff member.

 The list of items shown in the report include:

  • Cases worked on

  • Cases viewed

  • Documents generated/attached/scanned

  • Notes created/modified

  • Files reviewed/clients contacted

  • Tasks created/modified/completed

  • Negotiations created/modified

  • Settlements created/modified

  • Deleted documents/deleted notes

 
The Staff Activity Report is a standard report in SmartAdvocate, and like all reports, has the subscribe feature which will allow you to subscribe to the report and have it emailed to you on a schedule you select.
