Tip #316 - Select Multiple Providers Simultaneously When Creating Medical Records Requests

 

If your client has been treated by multiple medical providers, instead of having to make the medical records requests individually, you can select multiple providers simultaneously.

Here’s How:

  1. On the Medical Providers Page, click the “Add Medical Request” button.

  1. Click the drop-down for Provider.

  2. Select one or more provider(s) from the list.

  3. Click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page. (Note – For this function, you will not have the ‘Save and Generate’ option as you would when creating a single medical request).

The Next Steps Will Show How To Generate/Print The Requests, Or Send Them To The Provider Via Email, Fax, etc.

  1. Go to the “Medical Records Requests To Go Out” Dashboard (Dashboards > Medical Records Request To Go Out).

The requests shown on the dashboard will be defaulted to request assigned to the current user. You can choose another user to display the list of requests assigned to that user if desired.

  1.  Select one or more request using the appropriate check-box on the left.

  2. Use the appropriate process from among the options available in your system to complete the requests:

    a.    Generate Request and Email

    b.    Send Email

    c.     Send Fax

    d.    Generate Request
