Configuring Internet Explorer or Edge to Work with SmartAdvocate

SmartAdvocate requires version 11 of Internet Explorer (SA will also work with Edge). SmartAdvocate will work with earlier versions of Internet Explorer, but some of the pages/dialogs might not render correctly. If necessary, you must update your browser to Internet Explorer 11 or later.

Once you have updated your browser to Internet Explorer 11 or later (if required) it needs to be configured to run SmartAdvocate pages without Compatibility Mode. You should see performance improvement compared to running pages in Compatibility mode.

  1. Click on the tools button on the upper right hand corner. (Or click ALT+X)

  1. Go to Compatibility View settings.

  1. Uncheck Display intranet sites in Compatibility View. Make sure that your SmartAdvocate server name is NOT in the list of sites. If your server name is on the list, select it and click remove.
