TIP!

We have seen a few instances where the Outlook plugin was disabled, and a yellow caution icon appeared in the "Slow and Disabled COM Add-ins" panel, making re-enabling impossible. The following process should get it back up and running:

  1. Go to File -> Options -> Add-ins. The SAOutlookAddIn will probably be listed under "Disabled Application Add-ins." If so, click the dropdown at the bottom (next to the word "Manage") and select "Disabled Items," then click the Go button.

  2. Select the SAOutlookAddIn item in the list and click Enable, then click Close.

  3. Click OK in the Add-Ins panel to save the change.

  4. Go back to File -> Options -> Add-ins. The SAOutlookAddIn will now probably be listed under "Inactive Application Add-ins." If so, make sure "COM Add-Ins" is selected in the dropdown at the bottom, then click the Go button.

  5. Select the checkbox next to the SAOutlookAddIn item in the list, then click OK.

  6. The add-in should now be active, but it may not be set to stay activated when Outlook is next launched. Open the Registry Editor and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\SAOutlookAddIn, then check the value of LoadBehavior. If it is not set to 3, set it to 3.
