Hard-Coded Contact Types
Individual Contact Types:
Adjuster
Linked Pages: This contact type is hard-coded into the Insurance pages. Only contacts with this type may be assigned as the adjuster for an insurance company in a case.
Special Contact Fields: None
Attorney
Linked Pages: This contact type is hard-coded into the Attorneys pages for both plaintiff and defendant sections, as well as the Retainer/Referral page. Contacts with this type may be assigned as the attorney for a law firm in a case or as the referring or refer-out attorney. This is the only contact type that can be used in any “Attorney” field within the case. They can also be used internally when defining your user’s contact cards.
Special Contact Fields: There are up to 5 fields to enter an attorney’s bar state and number in which they practice.
Courtroom Clerk
Linked Pages: This contact type is hard-coded into the Court page. Only contacts with this type, Judge or others that may have been defined under system parameters, may be assigned as court staff in a case.
Special Contact Fields: None
Expert
Linked Pages: This contact type is hard-coded into the Expert page. These are the default contacts that appear in the contact dropdown when assigning an expert to a case to support either the plaintiff, defendant or both.
Special Contact Fields: There are fields to indicate an expert’s specialty and sub-specialty.
General
Linked Pages: None. This is the generic way to define a party in the system and locate the individual or organization when searching for any type of contact in the system.
Special Contact Fields: None
Judge
Linked Pages: This contact type is hard-coded into the Court page. Only contacts with this type, Courtroom Clerk or others that may have been defined under system parameters, may be assigned as court staff in a case.
Special Contact Fields: In a judge’s contact card, there are fields to include their part #, court room #, court room phone #, chamber room #, and/or chamber phone #.
Police Officer
Linked Pages: This contact type is hard-coded into the Investigations page. Only contacts with this type may be assigned as the police officer who generated the police report in a case.
Special Contact Fields: There is a field to include the officer’s badge #
Organization Contact Types:
Advertise
Linked Pages: This contact type is hard-coded into the Retainer/Referral page. Only contacts with this type may be selected as the paid advertising referral source on a case. Linked Pages: This contact type is hard-coded into the Insurance pages for both plaintiff and defendant sections along with the All Insurance Page. Contacts with this type appear as the defaults to be assigned as the Insurance Company in a case.

Law Firm
Linked Pages: This contact type is hard-coded into the Attorneys pages for both plaintiff and defendant sections. Contacts with this type may be assigned as the Law Firm involved in a case. They can also be used internally when defining your firm’s contact card or your relevant referral sources.
