About Vehicles

The Vehicles screen allows for the viewing and recording of vehicle materials.

View Vehicle Information

  1. View any previously entered Vehicle information.

  2. To Export the list, select from the options .pdf , .xls , or .rtf .

  3. To Edit, Delete, Select Documents, or Attach Documents, select the Action icon .

  4. To Show/Hide Columns, Reset Layout, Save Layout, turn on/off Auto Save, or choose between Resize Mode Control and Resize Mode Next Column, select the Layout button.

  5. Select the arrow to reveal ADD NEW VEHICLE DAMAGE and ADD PAYMENT/ADJUSTMENT.

  6. View any previously entered DAMAGE information.

  7. View any previously entered PAYMENT/ADJUSTMENT information.

ADD VEHICLE

  1. Select ADD VEHICLE.

OWNER/VEHICLE INFO

  1. Select the Plaintiff.

  2. Select the Owner from the contact list or Pick From the Case.

  3. Select the Registrant from the contact list or Pick From the Case.

  4. Select the Operator from the contact list or Pick From the Case.

  5. Enter the License #.

  6. Enter any Restrictions.

  7. Select the License state.

  8. Enter the License Expired date.

  9. Enter the vehicle’s Make.

  10. Enter the vehicle's Model.

  11. Enter the vehicle’s Year.

  12. Enter the vehicle’s Body Type.

  13. Enter the vehicle’s Plate #.

  14. Enter the vehicle’s Color.

  15. Enter the Plate Type.

  16. Enter the Vehicle State.

  17. Enter the VIN.

  18. Enter the Reg. Exp. date.

  19. Select the Lease information.

  20. Enter any relevant Comments.

  21. ATTACH allows you to add files from your computer.

  22. SELECT allows you to search from within SmartAdvocate.

  23. Select SAVE to add Owner/Vehicle information.

  24. Otherwise, select CANCEL to return to the previous screen.

VEHICLE DAMAGE

  1. Select whether Make Claim for P.D.

  2. Enter the Estimate Requested date.

  3. Enter the Estimate Received date.

  4. Enter the Photos Requested date.

  5. Enter the Photos Received date.

  6. Select the Total Repairs? checkbox.

  7. Enter the Value Before Accident.

  8. Select SAVE to add Vehicle Damage information.

  9. Otherwise, select CANCEL to return to the previous screen.

SEARCH HISTORY

  1. Select whether the Operator License History was searched, the Requested Date, and the Received Date.

  2. Select whether the Plate Search was searched, the Requested Date, and the Received Date.

  3. Select whether the Title Search was searched, the Requested Date, and the Received Date.

  4. Select whether the MV104 was searched, the Requested Date, and the Received Date.

ADD NEW VEHICLE DAMAGE

  1. Select ADD NEW VEHICLE DAMAGE.

  2. Select the Type of Damage from the dropdown menu.

  3. Enter the Bill #.

  4. Enter the Account #.

  5. Enter the Bill Amount.

  6. Enter the Negotiated Bill Amount.

  7. Select the Date From.

  8. Select the Date To.

  9. Select the Submit date.

  10. Enter any relevant Comments.

  11. Select SAVE to add Damage information.

  12. Otherwise, select CANCEL to return to the previous screen.

ADD PAYMENT/ADJUSTMENT

  1. Select ADD PAYMENT/ADJUSTMENT.

  2. Select the Associated Vehicle Damage Bill from the dropdown menu.

  3. Select the Collateral from the dropdown menu.

  4. Select the Claim Submitted Date.

  5. Select the Paid Date.

  6. Select the Paid by.

  7. Enter the Paid Amount.

  8. If applicable, place a checkmark in the Adjustment checkbox.

  9. Enter any relevant Comments.

  10. Select SAVE to add Payment/Adjustment information.

  11. Otherwise, select CANCEL to return to the previous screen.
