About Expert
The Expert screen allows for the viewing and recording of expert materials.
View Expert Information
View any previously entered Expert information.
To Export the list, select from the options .pdf , .xls , or .rtf .
To Edit, Delete, Select Documents, or Attach Documents, select the Action icon .
To Show/Hide Columns, Reset Layout, Save Layout, turn on/off Auto Save, or choose between Resize Mode Control and Resize Mode Next Column, select the Layout button.
Select the arrow to reveal any Reports.
ADD EXPERT
Select ADD EXPERT.
Select the Expert Name.
Select the radio button for Plaintiff, Defendant, or Neutral.
Select the Retained by from the dropdown menu.
If applicable, place a checkmark in the Disclosure Required checkbox.
Select the Disclosure Date.
If applicable, place a checkmark in the Will Testify checkbox.
Enter the Retainer Amount.
Select the Date Retained.
Enter any relevant Comments.
Select SAVE to add Expert information.
Otherwise, select CANCEL to return to the previous screen.
ADD REPORT
Select ADD REPORT.
Select the Report Type.
Select the Request Date.
Select the Paid Date.
Select the Amount Paid.
Select the Receipt Date.
If applicable, place a checkmark in the Exchange Required checkbox.
Select the Exchange Requested date.
Select the Exchange Report Date.
Enter any relevant Comments.
ATTACH allows you to add files from your computer.
SELECT allows you to search from within SmartAdvocate.
Select SAVE to add Report information.
Otherwise, select CANCEL to return to the previous screen.
View Notes
View any previously entered Notes.
To Export the list, select from the options .pdf , .xls , or .rtf .
To Edit, Delete, Select Documents, or Attach Documents, select the Action icon .
To Show/Hide Columns, Reset Layout, Save Layout, turn on/off Auto Save, or choose between Resize Mode Control and Resize Mode Next Column, select the Layout button.
ADD NEW NOTE
Select ADD NEW NOTE.
Select the Type from the dropdown.
Select the Date.
Select the Related To from the dropdown.
Set the Priority.
If applicable, place a checkmark in the Shared in the Client Portal checkbox.
Set the Duration.
Select the Template from the dropdown. If applicable, Insert Text.
View the inserted text or enter your text manually.
View the text in Design, HTML, or Preview Mode.
Select from SAVE, SAVE & EMAIL, or SAVE & ADD TASK.
Otherwise, select CANCEL to return to the previous screen.
