Tip #323 List of Standard Fields That Can Be Hidden and/or Customized

There are currently 62 “standard” fields in SmartAdvocate that you can choose to have visible or hidden. You may want to have a field hidden if the specific data that would be entered in that field is not something that your firm gathers, or typically enters. For example, if your firm is in a jurisdiction that does not require the collection of sales tax on the Attorney or Firm Fee, you may want to have the Tax field hidden on the Settlement Page.

Further, the field names can be modified. The customization, i.e., whether to make the fields visible and/or modify the standard names, is done in Picklist Maintenance.

Here’s How:

Go to Admin > Picklist Maintenance
Select the “Hidden Edit Form Fields” list
Click the Edit button (pencil) for the item you want to modify
Edit the field name and/or change Field Visible option as desired
