Workstation Configuration SaaS (SmartAdvocate Cloud) No Links

Currently Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook plugins are only compatible with the Desktop versions of the Word, Excel and Outlook.

Confirm the correct web URLs with a SmartAdvocate Team Member in order to download the plugins for Outlook, Word Merge, Excel Template Editor and Word Template Editor.

You only need Word and Excel Template Editor plugins if you are one of the admins responsible for template editing. Most of the users will not need those plugins.

  1. To install the plugins, click on each file/hyperlink provided by the SmartAdvocate Team Member.

  2. Depending on the security settings on your computer, you may be prompted to allow access to
    download the respective files. If prompted, click ‘Allow’ or ‘OK’.

  3. A zip file will download on your computer and will be displayed in the bottom left corner of your
    computer screen when using Google Chrome. Note that the location and appearance of the downloaded file may vary depending on the browser and browser version you are using.

     

  4. Click on the arrow ^ (or right-click) then select Show in folder and a new window will open.

  5. Once you have downloaded all of the above links you MUST right-click & “Extract All” on each zipped folder before running the Setup & Registry Files. If you do not do this the plugin’s will be installed but will NOT work.

  6. Each of the zip files you download will contain two files, a ‘setup’ file and a ‘registry’ file. You will need
    to run both files for each of the zip files you download. Double click (launch) each file and click ‘Run’.
    It does not matter in what order you run the files.

  7. Follow the system prompts, accepting all defaults.

  8. Repeat steps 1 through 6 for all plugins and all
    three registry files.
