If you select the Case Group and Case Type from the hyperlink here, the Case Sub Type must be selected manually.

  4. Select the Case Group from the dropdown menu.

  5. Select the Case Type from the dropdown menu.

  6. Select the Case Sub Type.
Please note that the entry of Case Group, Case Type, and Case Sub Type information will update the Questions section according to your configuration.

  7. If necessary, you can search by Type and Sub Type.
A two-column table will appear. The table contains every Case Type/Case Sub Type pairing in the SmartAdvocate system. To search for a particular Case Type or Case Sub Type, select the text input area and type in any part of the name of the desired Case Type or Sub Type. The table will automatically be filtered to only include entries where either the Case Type or Case Sub Type contains the text you entered. Selecting any item in the table will automatically select the listed Case Type and Case Sub Type, and the corresponding Case Group.

  8. Enter the Facts of the case.

If your firm has multiple offices, when entering a new case through Intake Wizard the case will be assigned to the office with which the person who entered the case is associated.

Case Groups, Case Types and Case Sub Types are customizable through Admin. Only Administrators have the permissions to configure Case Groups, Case Types, and Case Sub Types.
