RingCentral has officially announced the discontinuation of support for the ROPC auth flow, commonly known as “password-based auth,” effective March 31, 2024. Your RingCentral integration may stop working after this if it is still using a password-based connection.

If your RingCentral integration used the office main number, then you have to create JWT token in RingCentral account selected as auto-receptionist.

  1. Open RingCentral developer console: https://developers.ringcentral.com/

  2. Open Credentials settings:

  1. Click “Create JWT”

  1. Set following parameters:

Label  – SmartAdvocate

Select environment– Production

What apps are permitted to use this credential?  *

Select  - Only specific apps of my choice

And copy/paste this value - xbVqYQqwSzK_HyJHTnxVwg. After that click on the button “Add App” 

 5. Click on the button “Create JWT”

Once completed, provide SmartAdvocate the JWT token by opening up a Support Ticket with subject line “Ring Central Integration: Change To Authentication Method.” Link: https://smartadvocate.assist.com/portal/session/new
