Logging In to SmartAdvocate

Once SmartAdvocate® has been installed, you will be provided login information (typically an Icon on your desktop or Favorite in your browser) that will take you to the following login screen:

Enter the User Name and Password that were provided to you by your system administrator. If you are the only person who has access to your computer, you may also check the "Remember me" box. Click on the "Login" button to enter the SmartAdvocate system.
SmartAdvocate SaaS or Cloud customers are required to enter their firm's tenant name (the name of their tenant database on the SmartAdvocate server) along with their user name in the User Name field on the login page. For example, if their user name is "Harry" and the firm's tenant name is coollawfirm, the following is entered into the User Name field: harry@coollawfirm.


You can avoid the need to enter the "@coollawfirm" portion in the User Name area by adding certain information to the URL used in your browser. If you log in to SmartAdvocate using https://app.smartadvocate.com/SA/login.aspx?, then simply change the URL to https://app.smartadvocate.com/SA/login.aspx?tenantname=coollawfirm. You will then only be required to enter your user name into the login screen.  The name of the tenant system can be found in the System Parameters section of the Admin area of SmartAdvocate.
