File Server

  1. Can be the same as IIS/SQL – dependent on client requirements/available
    hardware

IIS/SQL Server for SmartAdvocate

  1. SQL version 2012 R2 or later with Microsoft Reporting Services installed

  2. IIS with ASP.net all options enabled

  3. Password for SA user on the SQL server (with full rights) needs to be shared with
    SmartAdvocate

  4. Port 1433 should not be blocked, so it is possible to establish SQL connection
    from the clients (required by plugins)

  5. SQL Server Browser service should be enabled

  6. TCP/IP protocol should be enabled

Admin level user ID and password for File and IIS/SQL server

To be provided by Licensee/IT Professional to be shared with SmartAdvocate

  1. Local Domain Account Login = SAsuper Password = SAsuper@Clientname

e. SmartAdvocate Word Merge Plug-In installed
f. SmartAdvocate Word Template Editor installed (Administrative users)
g. Pop-up blocker disabled for SmartAdvocate site

Scanner Configuration (scan to network drive)

To be provided by Licensee/IT Professional

  • Needs to be shared with SmartAdvocate

  • Create/install/configure folder option on your scanner with a destination folder for
    scanned documents labelled “Scan To SA” and point that destination to a shared
    public folder on your network drive labelled “ScanToSA”

Conversion Testing

To be done by Licensee/IT Professional

  • Once conversion is completed by our programmers, we will schedule a remote
    online session with client to walk them through the converted data (approximately
    30 minutes)

  • Only if data conversion/spreadsheet import, document linking or template
    conversion purchased

Documents and folder structure moved from server to new SmartAdvocate server
To be provided by Licensee/IT Professional

  • Needs to be shared with SmartAdvocate (This item is dependent on whether the
    licensee wishes all files to be in one server or will be terminating old server)

SmartAdvocate Administrative Training

To be performed by SmartAdvocate via online or onsite

Executed Acceptance of SmartAdvocate Database Conversion received
SmartAdvocate will schedule training for staff and Live/Cutover date once executed
documentation received

Final conversion – Final Backup of Database

To be provided by Licensee’s IT Professional

Needs to be shared with SmartAdvocate
a. Latest back-up of database (to be available on the IIS/SQL server) – no later than
10:00 am EST one or two business day prior to scheduled live date depending
on system
b. For example, Friday at 10:00 am for final conversion to be available the following
Monday live date

Live/Cutover Date
