The “right-click” function is used extensively throughout SmartAdvocate and is a great shortcut to access additional features and sub-menus, especially when the case information is displayed in a grid format. For example, the right-click function on a case displayed from a top-search allows the user to go directly to a number of different pages without having to open the case first. This is a real time-saver when you just want to add an appointment, send an email, send a text message, add a task or even print a barcode for document scanning.

In addition, the right-click functionality is somewhat context sensitive. Right-clicking on a contact name, for example, will pop-up a “mini” contact card for the individual or entity which will allow direct access via a hyperlink to the contact’s email address.

On the Medical Providers Page, the right-click function can be used as a shortcut to populate default information when requesting medical records and also to go quickly to additional menu items to add visits, add payments/adjustments to bills, copy bills to liens, etc.

Although there is a dedicated button on the Medical Providers Page to “Add Medical Requests”, you may find it far easier and more convenient to just right-click on the grid for the medical provider you are working with and add your request from there. Using the right-click function here will automatically fill in the name of the provider and dates of treatment when you are making a medical records request. In fact, the dates of treatment will be defaulted to the first date of treatment to the current date. If no dates of treatment were entered for that medical provider for this client, then the incident date will be filled in as the first date of treatment.

Look out for additional functions and direct access to specific items/pages using the right-click functionality in future releases as we are constantly adding to the list.
